So January has been an eventful month for us here. It was a good start to a new year, after a fabulous Christmas. My grandmother Joan, was able to come down and spend almost a week with us to celebrate the holiday. It was nice having her here, and being able to have her stay with us. Kids made out like bandits of course! Pictures to follow as soon as I get through them all! That is the draw back to digital pictures, you end up with hundreds of them to fish through rather than just the prints from a 35 mm camera! But they all had a blast, and I like to think that grandma enjoyed her time here with us. So aside from dislocating my knee cap on Christmas day, everything went smoothly :). We had a big dinner with family and friends, good conversations, with good food. No complaints there!
Skylynn is still attending pre-school. Most days she doesn't mind going anymore, some days are harder than others. She seems to be having a lot of fun there. Been battling the normal colds and such, had an ear infection once, but anti-biotics cleared that right up. She had her dental checkup, no cavities good news! She has gotten so big, she is only 6 pounds lighter than Sean is. Crazyness she is almost as tall as him to Serena has been a little pill. into absolutely everything, swallowing things, up to and including a penny. Yeah that got stuck, had to go to ER, then up to OR for them to pull it back out of her throat. Yeah that was a little freaky to be honest. She has become quite the explorer both in the house and out. Into absolutely ANYTHING she can get into. Good news is though she is almost totally potty trained! Still does #2 in her pants, but we're starting to get the hang of that. Most days she runs around in underwear now, except for sleeping of course. Sean is doing better since he started the ritalin 2 months ago. It has helped him out tremendously! His behavior has improved, he got straight A's on his report card, and is staying outta trouble! Only thing now is that he is having some odd back pain. He says his spine hurts, and the dr did physical exam, did not feel anything odd, did xray and blood work, and nothing came back off of that, so we're being sent to an orthopedic specialist to see what is going on. Chris is doing well, still fighting the sarcoidosis, but hasn't gotten any worse that the doctor can see on his testing, so that is good news. We're trying a new diet for the two of us to try and loose some weight. I'm starting anti-depressants to try and get myself outta the funk that I am, and seem to get in around November. My left knee still hasn't gotten any better so the doctor is sending me out for an MRI of my knee, they should be calling me soon to schedule that appointment, we'll know more from there. Hopefully is not anything horrible, just time to heal! Trying to keep up with housework, groceries, and the kids is hard mentally, and now physically. Audrey has been kind enough to come over and help out as she can. Chris has been very understanding, and is trying to pick up the slack, but has been hard on us all. I just started the meds and hope they kick in soon, I am so tired of feeling so tired. I know that sounds odd but is best way to describe it. And here I am playing on the computer LOL. So here I go off to continue doing the laundry and trying to get it folded an put away, picking up the house from the disaster Serena has created, she's good at that, and have to go get Sky in about 45 minutes or so. Hopefully is smooth day today, cannot handle the kids fighting with calmness I normally can.
Things will get better i know they will. Just have to breath and take my time doing things, they'll eventually get done.
Chris' brother and his family just moved up to northern California, about an hour away from my sister and her family. Guess we'll need to plan a visit up to N. Cali sometime soon to go visit all of them. Never seen my sisters house and she's been up there for a few years now. Ok maybe a couple more than a few. I wanna say 5 years now. I've never been up to N. Cali so I think it would be fun. Something to talk to Chris about for maybe a vacation this summer! Hey now that is an idea! Will have to look into it!
Alrighty peeps, gotta get Serena lunch and then get on with my day! Hope to write again soon.
Much love!

Happy New Year
So this year has already started a little roughly, but I am hoping that it levels out after today. Day 3 of the new year and it's already been hectic. Friday, chipped windshield, Saturday migraine, Sunday flat tire that ended up breaking a lug bolt.... again, Monday, get said lug bolt fixed $39 and find out have to get rear brakes fixed really soon, and front breaks fixed in 3-5 thousand miles. So roughly few months. Going to do breaks on the back at the end of the driveway. Friend Ben going to come over and help me. Then in few months with influx of a little more money, going to do the front. Thank God they are not drum brakes, but disk. Get to replace the rotors and the brake pads.
Good news is Sean's change in his ritalin meds seems to be working. They seem to lasting most of the day now rather than just part of the day. Sky seems to be settled into the routine of preschool 3 days a week pretty well. Some days she doesn't want to go, but she has to I tell her cause I don't want to start the routine of not wanting to go and staying home for when actual school starts. Serena has decided she doesn't like to sleep anymore and just wants to be cranky all damn day. Is a bit frustrating, but we are trying some new stuff to get her to sleep at a resonable hour without the 2 hour fight to go to sleep.
Grandma came down for Christmas and had a good time. Kids got to visit with her quit a bit and it was a lot of fun. She was a trooper for the kids noise and toys, and the discombobulation that was our Christmas lunch with family and friends. Kids had a great christmas, made out like bandits of course, and had a lot of fun in the process. Thankfully we didn't get any toys that I want to throw out with yesterdays trash!
Hope everyone out there had a great Christmas and New Years, and is having a better start to their new year!
Much love to all, hope to post again soon!
