Wandering thoughts

So I have found myself catching up here recently with old friends, always a good thing! I find myself seeming to have a little more energy, and able to get some stuff done around here. Jeanne came by yesterday with her two daughters, and later her husband and son came by too. After they got off of work and school respectively. My friend Kim came by with her daughter Telena also. Kids all got to play together for about two hours. Was a fun time for us moms and the kids. House of course was pretty torn apart by the end of the whole day of visiting, but good news is kids didn't really fight us to pick up all the toys and such! Got dinner cleaned up, toys picked up, house put back together pretty much, by the time Jeanne, Jesse, Gabriel, Izzy, and Autumn headed home. Chris went into the office so that we didn't disturb him with all the noise coming from out here.

Took Sean to the Orthopedic Dr. on Monday after keeping him home from school. Still having pain, and Monday was pretty bad apparently. He just stayed in bed all morning, til we had to leave for the doctors appointment. The specialist doctor thinks he might have just hurt himself and it is more muscular than skeletal, and will have to do physical therapy if that is the case. To rule out if is skeletal or not, the doctor has ordered a bone scan. They'll have to do some mild sedation for him to be able to lay still long enough to do the scan, so we have to wait a few days for them to call me and schedule that.

I go in tomorrow for the MRI in my left knee to figure out what is going on in there and why I do not seem to be getting any better. I am a little nervous about it cause I am kinda afraid of what they're gonna say. Hopefully will just be physical therapy and not surgery.

Skylynn has become quite the little artist. Her art work is getting more and more recognizable.

Serena is getting so big. She is going potty in the potty most of the day now, almost totally potty trained! I am so excited to stop buying diapers. Speaking of buying diapers I need to pick some up today... LOL.

Well I gotta run have errands to do before I go and get Sky from preschool. Have a wonderful day one and all. We love you.

End of January

So January has been an eventful month for us here. It was a good start to a new year, after a fabulous Christmas. My grandmother Joan, was able to come down and spend almost a week with us to celebrate the holiday. It was nice having her here, and being able to have her stay with us. Kids made out like bandits of course! Pictures to follow as soon as I get through them all! That is the draw back to digital pictures, you end up with hundreds of them to fish through rather than just the prints from a 35 mm camera! But they all had a blast, and I like to think that grandma enjoyed her time here with us. So aside from dislocating my knee cap on Christmas day, everything went smoothly :). We had a big dinner with family and friends, good conversations, with good food. No complaints there!

Skylynn is still attending pre-school. Most days she doesn't mind going anymore, some days are harder than others. She seems to be having a lot of fun there. Been battling the normal colds and such, had an ear infection once, but anti-biotics cleared that right up. She had her dental checkup, no cavities good news! She has gotten so big, she is only 6 pounds lighter than Sean is. Crazyness she is almost as tall as him to  Serena has been a little pill. into absolutely everything, swallowing things, up to and including a penny. Yeah that got stuck, had to go to ER, then up to OR for them to pull it back out of her throat. Yeah that was a little freaky to be honest. She has become quite the explorer both in the house and out. Into absolutely ANYTHING she can get into. Good news is though she is almost totally potty trained! Still does #2 in her pants, but we're starting to get the hang of that. Most days she runs around in underwear now, except for sleeping of course. Sean is doing better since he started the ritalin 2 months ago. It has helped him out tremendously! His behavior has improved, he got straight A's on his report card, and is staying outta trouble! Only thing now is that he is having some odd back pain. He says his spine hurts, and the dr did physical exam, did not feel anything odd, did xray and blood work, and nothing came back off of that, so we're being sent to an orthopedic specialist to see what is going on. Chris is doing well, still fighting the sarcoidosis,  but hasn't gotten any worse that the doctor can see on his testing, so that is good news. We're trying a new diet for the two of us to try and loose some weight. I'm starting anti-depressants to try and get myself outta the funk that I am, and seem to get in around November. My left knee still hasn't gotten any better so the doctor is sending me out for an MRI of my knee, they should be calling me soon to schedule that appointment, we'll know more from there. Hopefully is not anything horrible, just time to heal! Trying to keep up with housework, groceries, and the kids is hard mentally, and now physically. Audrey has been kind enough to come over and help out as she can. Chris has been very understanding, and is trying to pick up the slack, but has been hard on us all. I just started the meds and hope they kick in soon, I am so tired of feeling so tired. I know that sounds odd but is best way to describe it. And here I am playing on the computer LOL. So here I go off to continue doing the laundry and trying to get it folded an put away, picking up the house from the disaster Serena has created, she's good at that, and have to go get Sky in about 45 minutes or so. Hopefully is smooth day today, cannot handle the kids fighting with calmness I normally can.

Things will get better i know they will. Just have to breath and take my time doing things, they'll eventually get done.

Chris' brother and his family just moved up to northern California, about an hour away from my sister and her family. Guess we'll need to plan a visit up to N. Cali sometime soon to go visit all of them. Never seen my sisters house and she's been up there for a few years now. Ok maybe a couple more than a few. I wanna say 5 years now. I've never been up to N. Cali so I think it would be fun. Something to talk to Chris about for maybe a vacation this summer! Hey now that is an idea! Will have to look into it!

Alrighty peeps, gotta get Serena lunch and then get on with my day! Hope to write again soon.

Much love!

Happy New Year

So this year has already started a little roughly, but I am hoping that it levels out after today. Day 3 of the new year and it's already been hectic. Friday, chipped windshield, Saturday migraine, Sunday flat tire that ended up breaking a lug bolt.... again, Monday, get said lug bolt fixed $39 and find out have to get rear brakes fixed really soon, and front breaks fixed in 3-5 thousand miles. So roughly few months. Going to do breaks on the back at the end of the driveway. Friend Ben going to come over and help me. Then in few months with influx of a little more money, going to do the front. Thank God they are not drum brakes, but disk. Get to replace the rotors and the brake pads.

Good news is Sean's change in his ritalin meds seems to be working. They seem to lasting most of the day now rather than just part of the day. Sky seems to be settled into the routine of preschool 3 days a week pretty well. Some days she doesn't want to go, but she has to I tell her cause I don't want to start the routine of not wanting to go and staying home for when actual school starts. Serena has decided she doesn't like to sleep anymore and just wants to be cranky all damn day. Is a bit frustrating, but we are trying some new stuff to get her to sleep at a resonable hour without the 2 hour fight to go to sleep.

Grandma came down for Christmas and had a good time. Kids got to visit with her quit a bit and it was a lot of fun. She was a trooper for the kids noise and toys, and the discombobulation that was our Christmas lunch with family and friends. Kids had a great christmas, made out like bandits of course, and had a lot of fun in the process. Thankfully we didn't get any toys that I want to throw out with yesterdays trash!

Hope everyone out there had a great Christmas and New Years, and is having a better start to their new year!

Much love to all, hope to post again soon!

Updated blogger

Hi all, for those of you who have wondered where in the world we have been on our posting, I have been slacking. Yes, I admit it, I have been slacking on the update world! LOL. If you'll notice there are now archived postings for much longer back then we've been a part of the Fennimore family. There are pictures from when Sean was about a year old, when Sky was born, up to Easter of this year. I have posted current pictures up on my Picasa website if you'd like to check them out. Up to when Sharon and Vince came down and visited from Alaska. Skylynn is currently up there visiting with them. Sean had gone to Texas for amonth to visit with his Grandma and Grandpa Ellis. Bonus was he got to see his "Daddy James" again for the first time since he was 9 months old, and got to meet his new baby brother Brandon. He seemed to have had a good time and enjoyed himself. He is already looking forward to going out there again next summer.

Sean and I traveled to San Diego for a week, and returned last Friday evening. Michealle and I went through our mother's Star Trek stuff to catalog and price it out to finish paying off her funeral costs on Michealle's credit cards. Is hard to do, but we got it done. Got to spend some quality time with my sister, and Sean got to spend some quailty time with Lore and Imala while we were doing this. Minus the time in the ER with Michealle after she gave herself a concussion. Poor thing was miserable for a few days! Sean was really good while we were down there, I was so proud of him! Sean, Lore, and I went down to the beach Thursday afternoon, we had an absolute blast! Brought change of shorts for everyone cause we were just supposed to go wading in the water not swimming... water was a little rough so I went in with the kids, and got hit by a few rouge waves. Needless to say the boys got SOAKED, and wore sweaters/jackets home instead of wet shirts. I got to wear my semi-sun dried shirt home with dry pants. But it was so worth it. We were laughing screaming maniacs for like 2 hours. Running back and forth in and out of the water, getting splashed, it was a lot of fun. I'll treasure it!

Skylynn is now 4, wow where have the years gone? Had her birthday party few weeks ago, she made out like a bandit! Aaron, Katie, Keaton, and Lilly all came down from LA for a weekend with Sharon and Vince. It was nice to have the family all together. She posted pictures we took as a family and from when they were here. I just have to figure out how to download the ones I want so I can post them! Sky will be going to preschool on Tues, Wed, and Thurs mornings, thank you Vince and Sharon, and she is excited she gets "to go to school like Sean" It'll be nice to have few hours in mornings to just Serena and I. Going to have to figure out a new routine!

Audrey is getting ready to move out at the end of the week. We're sad to see her go, but also excited for the next stage in both of our lives. We've done well together these past 3 years, and I know we'll still be best friends for many years to follow. We'll miss her, but it's nice she'll be just down the street from us. Kids will love going to her house to spend the night and such. Sean is already talking about it. She is going to take Sean to his first professional baseball game on August 8th in Phoenix. It is between San Diego and the Diamond Backs. Sean is so lucky, I am jealous! LOL.

Serena is coming along on her potty training. Discovered if she is naked she really doesn't pee on the floor! LOL. If she has underwear on she will pee a lot on the floor, but if she's runnin around bottomless she gets to the potty more often than not. I am excited that we're getting somewhere with this, cause she wants to go on the potty, but she is too busy playing most the time to get it it seems like! She is too busy hehehheeh. I cannot believe she is almost 2 already! The day after I get home from Anchorage to pick up Skylynn is her birthday, and that Saturday is her birthday party!

Sean is going to start 1st grade on August 16th, another school year about to begin. He is excited in a way, but also wants to still stay at home with mom, crazy huh? But he'll have fun when he starts again. Probably won't have most of his class there next year, most of them were going to TUSD. God knows why, is horrible school district! But that is ok, guess they need the busing and the free lunches.

Now if the kids will stop fighting with eachother, that would make for a perfect world.... Seems Sean is ALWAYS in the thick of it. Either him and Skylynn or him and Serena. Makes me wonder sometimes. Think is just cause he's a boy, or because they're sisters? Oh well, learning experience, for all of us!

Gotta go feed the kids snack! TTYS love to all from us here in Tucson!

Old Tucson Trip

So Intuit hosted Chris's department at Old Tucson Studios on Saturday and we had a blast! It was a lot of fun, both the kid and the adults were tired by the time we got home. Lucky for us, Audrey watched Serena so we didn't have to fight her taking a nap while we were there. Next year she'll be able to come! LOL. Here are the pictures from us going there. Enjoy!

Our love to all! Tiffany, Chris, Emma, Sean, Sky, and Serena!
