How it's going

So Friday, I went over and helped my best friend Malinda’s sister I (who is also like my sister) pack up her 14 foot Pensky truck to move to Washington state. All of their stuff was in Mom’s two car garage packed to the hilt. I did the organizing and they did the lifting! Now I did rearrange some stuff, but I was a good girl and didn’t do too much over my head and anything to heavy. So we managed to get everything in, with a little ingenuity and with enough room left at the end for the stuff from inside the house to fit, the kids bikes, and the dog and his crate on the end. So needless to say I think we did an awesome job. I like the organizing of it all, it’s like a game of tetris, which shape fits where lol. The older two, Sean and Sky, stayed at Aunt Debi’s house that day and got to go to the zoo. Sean called me and told me all about his Anteater penny. It was so cute. By the time we were done with the truck, it was like 6:00. I called Debi and she kept the kids over night for us. The baby, Serena did really well the whole day, she stayed with Crystal most of the time, and wasn’t too cranky thank goodess! I had a doctors apt at 2:30, for my shoulder and ended up getting an x-ray done. I will get the results sometime first part of this week. We all went out to dinner at Village Inn that night. We learned Serena LOVES lemons, not to give Chris lemons, and not to have Audrey and Malinda try to get the last of anything out of the bottom of a glass bottle. Audrey hit it on her hand wrong, then Malinda tried to use gravity by flinging the jar in a downwards fashion, and didn’t make sure that the lid was on right. Needless to say the remaining cocktail sauce went all over the floor. It was hilarious. Guess you had to be there, but at the end of a day, we were all dieing laughing. We all went our different ways after dinner dreading the morning to come.

So Saturday came around, and that was an emotional morning. You get 4 women and one teenage girl together to say goodbye, and it becomes a little heart wrenching. So Misty has lived in Rita Ranch with mom for a number of years now, and she’s always been in Tucson with us. Now she’s moving like 1800 miles away or something like that. When Malinda moved to CA we all knew she’d be coming back to Tucson, so it was a see you later, rather than “goodbye make sure to call.” So Mom was saying good bye to her eldest child, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Misty was saying goodbye to her mom, sisters, and brother, and all of us were saying good bye to her and her family. It was hard, but necessary. We all know that it is what is best for her and her family. We packed the last of the stuff up, and got the car on the tow hitch, and began our goodbyes. We lost it at that point, but we managed to stop crying about half an hour after they left. I then went home, cleaned my house, and got ready for our Princess Bride movie and pot luck party. Was a good time, had friends, food, and good times. Got to introduced Chris to the movie, but he didn’t seem to enjoy it as much as the rest of us. But that’s alright. Holly made this really awesome cake that was like picture perfect for the movie. I need to get the pic from her and then I’ll post it! Everyone cleared out at like 11 pm. Was a late night.

Sunday morning we were lucky enough that the kids slept in, Serena til like 8 and the older two til like 9. It was awesome. Chris came home from church right as they were waking up! Finished cleaning up the house from the party and then had dinner at the Melting Pot with my Uncle. Was good times.

So at Serena’s last apt for 6 mths, she was almost 14 lbs, and 26 ½ inches long. She’s long and skinny little thing. But growing well, and crawling all over the place. The other day I went potty, and came back out and she was under the dining table! She’s fast as can be, but she doesn’t get her middle off of the floor, she does the combat crawl!

Sean is having a hard time with his cold he’s got. Having to do the breathing treatments with him. Saturday night, almost had to take him to ER I was so worried. But finally the treatments worked and he was able to get some sleep and stop coughing! We’re going to be getting him started in school this August, we found a charter school to get him into. Their cut off date for turning 5 is 12/31 of this year. He’s excited about it!

Skylynn is being your typical two year old. Not liking doing what you tell her to do, and all that comes with it. She’s finally growing again. She’s a 3 T on top and a 2 T on bottom. Finally out grew her 24 mths pants. She’s doing well otherwise. We got her ears pierced a little over a month ago. She likes them! Well, that’s about it for now. Will check back with everyone later!

Our love to all!
